To the extent that the N.S.A. is collecting information on people who are suspected of no wrongdoing whatsoever, it presents some very critical privacy concerns. And it shows the need for Congress to put in place real safeguards to prevent the government from abusing this information. |
We just don't know enough about this technology, how it works, or what it is used for. It matters to a lot of people that these programs and software exist. We don't really know to what extent the government is mining personal data. |
