I was disappointed by the three interceptions. My team fought hard, and that's all that matters. They kept us in the game and won a tough one on the road.

I'm just looking forward to getting a chance to get on the field and make some plays. If you're a football player, you can adjust to anything on the field.

I'm pretty comfortable now, there are still things I need to learn, like running routes. That takes a little time, but I feel confident in myself.

It's a long season, and it gets even longer on the next level (NFL), so I think the bowl system is a good thing. Playoffs might work, but not like bowl games. I hope they stick with the bowls in college.

It's good those coaches got promoted to the jobs they did . . .. I think the team rallied together and everyone assumed individual responsibility, and the win is good. It's gratifying.

It's good to reminisce. But that game has no effect on how this game's gonna be played.

Speed is a factor in any game. Coach E has done a good job of getting us faster overall.

Syracuse got pressure into the backfield a lot quicker, so they altered some of the timing I could use to go through my [passing] progressions. Coach says that, 'If you're going to make a decision, to go ahead and do it.' My God-given ability just takes over and I was able to make some plays.

The only times I got sacked was when I was trying to make plays on my own. It wasn't that the offensive line had let down. They did a great job.

They told me I could come to school right away. They wanted me to 'prop,' but you lose a year under Prop 48. I didn't want to do that and my high school coach [Mike Smith] didn't want me to do that, so he made a call to Coach [John] Shuman at Fork Union. I wanted all my turns to play.

We'll have football practice, a team meal, meetings, curfew and then I'll call it a night.

We've got some good running backs as well. It's going to come down to execution.
