I'm very saddened that we've lost such an important piece of jazz history, seemingly without a permit or the owner's approval. Just because we're in the midst of a disaster, I don't think people should be taking it upon themselves to decide which buildings need to be destroyed. |
If he hasn't heard anything it's because the city stated unequivocally in the past that red tags did not signify impending demolition. If that has changed, they need to make that very clear. Owners of these buildings need to be made aware so they can plead their case or make repairs. |
You don't have the right to do a demonstration on a property that is not on fire. |
