The traditional camp in the NFL is long gone I would think. It is for us. You've got to get this football team ready to play in the opener the best way you can. And one of the best ways to do that is to make sure you have all the information you need to be a good player, and that you're healthy. |
There were a couple big plays by safeties that hurt us bad in this one. Where the receiver gets behind everybody. When we're in Cover 2, that can never happen. There's no excuse for that. |
There were some similarities between the two games, ... had some breaks go against them on the road. And that happens; that's the NFL. |
There's a wrong impression that I'm desperate for a job. I'm not pursuing anything. |
There's plenty of candidates at corner. We have plenty of options back there. It's not like we've got to go out and find a corner. |
There's several guys back there that I think are going to be really good. So I'm not really concerned about it. We're trying to identify guys, give them opportunities to make plays on both sides of the ball and on special teams, and see what they do. Now we've got a pretty good book on everybody. |
There's some very significant concern about where this football team is on my part, |
These fans are our customers. They come out here expecting to see a longer practice and more stuff, and the last thing we want to do is disappoint them. Our players know it's a good idea to make sure the fans go home happy. |
These guys have played at a very high level, |
They really feel like next week, after a week off, that he should be all right, |
They'll pick the players and coaches for him, and he'll do whatever they want him to do. |
They've got to have some sort of an award for that. Kurt did a great job. I think he over-acted a little bit. I thought the chin strap was a bit much, but he did a great job. |
This could be a special team. |
This goes way back, ... Even growing up in San Diego and watching this rivalry for many years, I have a real respect for the competitive nature of this matchup. |
This is Coach Martz's loss, |
