She talked to the graduate students and she told us a good working ratio for a poet of acceptances into journals was if you got published in one out of 80 packets that you sent out... which is shocking and terrifying at the same time, but is just also really good to know. |
Working on the journal and seeing how much work comes through and what little of it gets published and learning how to read... specifically for publication has given me more insight into sending out my own work. |
