I don't know if he's going to hit .330. But he's a good enough hitter. [Defensively], he's a prototypical center fielder. He runs everything down. He's not afraid of the wall. He'll dive. The center fielder's job is to catch every fly ball that is hit. You have corner men to help him out. That's the way he is.

He decided that [Perez] was throwing [at him], but he wasn't. I can understand where you would be suspicious and could think something like that might happen, but we played two clean games. I think it was the wrong call, but I understand his suspicions and especially when the league office alerts you.

He had a good angle for his pitches, he was down in the zone and he had some good sliders. In general, that's as good as he's looked in a long time.

He had everything going. They were off balance. He cruised the whole way. It was a very impressive performance.

He probably threw more pitches early on than he wanted. But I thought he looked very good for a guy who hadn't pitched in over three weeks.

He said the timing wasn't right for me to get the job. He liked what I did, but he's got somebody else in mind -- somebody with more experience at the big-league level.
