The next 24 hours are going to be the most crucial on this. The question will be whether we can escape this with just a minimal amount of rain or end up seeing some additional flooding.

Although we're not totally through with this event, we're certainly wrapping it up. Many of the rivers still are at or near flood stage ... but they're in the process of receding. We're not expecting any additional damage.

This was the widest-spread flooding event we've ever had in the commonwealth. Literally every stream (and) small river at some point exceeded its banks.

They are working upstream with dams that hold back other ponds and other lakes. They are trying to slow the other water down. But it is not going to be a solution because there is only minimal amount of capacity up there.

It's very, very dangerous. We want people to take this very, very seriously,

The best-case scenario is nothing happens. The worst-case scenario is it goes any minute.

It's coming out in a lot of places it really shouldn't be.

What the damage or impact [will be], nobody is even guessing.

As of this morning, the situation has been described as stabilized. The water level continues to be reducing a little bit.

These weren't life-threatening conditions. These were just things the staff on site thought needed more attention.

They were knocked off their feet. People were clapping and cheering for them. There was weeping and hugging, all this emotion. There wasn't a dry eye in the place.

It isn't like the last time where they said it's going to be a day off. Don't have any expectation that this will kick in again.

They're not talking major stuff yet. It won't be anything like it was last weekend.

We could have had a lot more wind damage, certainly. And the rain, we ended up on the low end of the scale of what we could have gotten, around 2 inches around the state. We managed to avoid the worst-case scenario.

Sports that haven't been producing medals before are producing medals now.
