Back in the middle to late 1980s, Marge and I were having dinner in the press dining room, and we just started talking about the old Bradley days. She said, 'Ralph, just be sure you let your sense of humor come through.' It was like a light bulb went off. I became determined to just relax, just be myself. And working with Walton later helped because Bill was so off-the-wall, he took some of the chains off. He allowed you to realize you don't have to fit into this stereotype, the boring mold that so many guys can get caught up with. Humor really helps. |
