Being a coach, I think it's part of our job to get our kids on the market to have a chance to go to college, whether it's scholarship-wise or not. I think we have to work very hard to do that. It's gratifying to see three kids that have worked hard the two years I've been here to achieve that. |
He gives us great effort everyday, and he carries himself well outside of here. He has a great attitude. He's a pleasure to coach. |
He's been our leader on defense, and as the season has progressed, he's taken more of a leadership role with our entire team. That's important to have. |
I don't know what to tell you. I don't know what happened. We couldn't do anything right. It's just disappointing. |
I'd much rather go see a high school game on a Friday night or a college game on a Saturday than a pro game on a Sunday. These kids do it because they enjoy the game of football. |
It was like we were in an avalanche there at the start. And when they got rolling, it was like a snowball going downhill. Camden was all they were advertised to be. They're well-coached, don't make mistakes and they win ? everything you need to do to be the No. 1 team in the state. |
Last year, we were just hoping to win games. Now, we have the mindset that we have a chance to win and we expect to win. That's one of the biggest changes our kids have made in the last year. |
Very, very happy. Very pleased for them. I think it speaks volumes for our program, and for those three young men to continue their education and be able to play at the next level is a goal that all kids who start out playing football want to achieve. I'm very happy for them. |
We still have to win out to get second place, but all I know right now is we're 6-2 and happy to be there. |
