It's played to pretty much all audiences -- the younger as well as the older audience, male and female. You have to (play broadly) to get these type of numbers.

It's a good place to be, isn't it? It's pretty exciting for us that not only is this the third week in a row we've had a No. 1 film, but 'Identity' is also our third No. 1 film of the year (following 'Darkness Falls' and 'Anger').

We just trade screened it and they love it. It'll open very wide -- probably 3,200-plus locations. It's a great family film.

Maybe it wasn't the most traditional of dates, but it turned out to be an excellent date for us,

We're very pleased with the fact that we took a chance and put this picture between 'X-Men' and 'Matrix' and it worked really well for us. It's a terrific family picture for Mother's Day weekend.

It kicked some 'Daddy'-butt! ... Word of mouth has been really good. It seems to have been a very good date to go on this picture, wedged between these monsters. It's terrific counter programming. We had an extensive screening program and people liked the picture. It's excellent family fare.

It's our sixth number one film of the year. It was 54 percent male and 46 percent female. We were really pleased with the amount of female audience we got. I think it's going to hang in there and hold up really well. I would certainly think we'll be over $100 million with that start.

In regards to how you go about releasing your film, it's just a matter of what brings the most dollars in box office, whether domestic or worldwide.

History proves there's room for several of these family-type films. This is the perfect time of year for it.

It should play well through Halloween.

I hate to sound Pollyanna about it, but I do believe that this is an anomaly. Business will bounce back and over a period of time it'll fight its way back.

It doesn't get much better than having a Jim Carrey movie for the holidays.

Having a Jim Carrey film over the holidays is a pretty sure bet. Audiences trust he'll have the goods, and they want to laugh and have a good time this time of year.

It's our seventh No. 1 opening for the year, ... 'Desperado,' which we were very happy with, grossed $25.4 million for the entire run (after its $7.9 million opening in August 1995).
