Honestly, we didn't play that bad. They (Carthage) played that good. They are really hitting the ball well now.

If we do well, we will be in good shape to possibly make the playoffs.

We played good and got one. I felt our guys responded better to the tough plays, and didn't get down on themselves. That made a difference in the long run.

We're playing better now than we have all season. Hopefully, we can get a good pitching performance, continue to play good defense and scratch out some runs.

We've looked at all of the possible playoff scenarios and we're right there. If Carthage wins out, we could win one of our last two and be tied for third. The one we have to win would be against White Oak. If we win both of our games and Carthage wins, we'll be third.

Coach David DePriest has done an excellent job. They're much improved this year and we know it will be a battle.

This group right here deserves this win. They worked so hard all year. Everybody's called them young all year, including me. They're not a young team anymore and they showed it today.

We grew up a little bit tonight. We have a young team and we know it is going to take some time to get there, but this is a great step in the right direction.

Jake has been working hard and that's just a lot of hard work that paid off for him. Jake is very mature for his age, but he has a lot of fun out there.

Curtis is a very good pitcher. I think he just got tired and we took advantage of it.

We got a lot of good innings and experience in today. Every time they take the field, they are going to learn a new lesson. The good thing about this group of guys is that they take those experiences and really learn from them.

I think it will be an exciting time with our young players looking to make a name for themselves.

That was when our seniors last year were sophomores in 2003. We went through some growing pains, but made the playoffs. I believe we have the kind of potential again coming out today that it takes to be successful.

I'm very pleased with our kids thus far. We're a young group with, from what I've seen, a lot of potential.

Justin has taken to his role as our closer. Tonight we brought him in earlier than we normally would have, and he stepped up and responded in a positive manner.
