A year later, I still certainly feel we need the ban. |
continue to do the background checks. |
Do we tell those people that they're supposed to walk away or do we tell them that you're supposed to stand your ground and fight to the death? |
every rogue with an itchy trigger finger in Florida. |
I don't believe gun owners have rights. |
I've thought Cheney was scary for a long time. Now I know I was right to be nervous. |
Individuals who are unfamiliar with Florida's roads, traffic regulations and customs, or who speak foreign languages, or look different than Florida residents, may face a higher risk of danger -- because they may be more likely to be perceived as threatening by Floridians, and because they are unaware of Florida's new law that says individual who feel their safety is threatened or their possessions are at risk are legally authorized to use deadly force, |
It goes so slowly with a head injury. |
It makes me sick to my stomach that Michigan, a reasonable state full of reasonable people, would even hold a hearing on this horrible piece of legislation. And to take it up right after the death of a child is absolutely appalling. |
Our main agenda is to have ALL guns banned. We must use whatever means possible. It doesn't matter if you have to distort facts or even lie. Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed. |
Our ultimate goal- total control of handguns in the United States- is going to take time... The first problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns being produced... The Governor says the accidental shooting 'raises questions' about whether firearms should be permitted in Capitol offices, and the legislator says he's going to do some 'soul searching' as to whether he should have a loaded gun in his office. There are no questions left to ask -- Delegate John Reid should be relieved of having to decide whether to have a loaded gun in his office. These offices belong to the people, and the people deserve to be kept safe from amateurs who play with pistols. |
The gun lobby finds waiting periods inconvenient. You have only to ask my husband how inconvenient he finds his wheelchair from time to time. |
The House passage of our bill is a victory for this country! Common sense wins out. I'm just so thrilled and excited. The sale of guns must stop. Halfway measures are not enough. |
The Republican Party today is not what the Republican Party was 20 years ago. It's moved so far to the right. We were proud of politicians 10 years ago and 12 years ago who stood up and did the right thing. Today, I don't think they're doing the right thing. They're looking out for themselves. |
