It's great to see my dad honored. In every way, he's a really, really great teacher. |
Jermaine is so quick that they couldn't block him ... and when they did knock him on the ground, he would jump right back off the ground and chase after the play, ... That's what makes him so great. He never quits on a play for the entire game. |
Normally, I would see a guy the size of Brandon Spikes and say he's definitely playing for the defensive end position, but there are a few exceptional athletes out there who can play at that size. I think Brandon Spikes is one of those guys. |
Obviously the season Auburn had this year will really help them in recruiting. They are finding themselves in the hunt with players they wouldn't have had a chance on at the beginning of the year. |
Recruiting rankings are all well and good, but they shouldn't pay dividends until two or three years down the line, assuming you've recruited to where you should have (in needs) to begin with. I don't care how talented the player is, if you are playing true freshmen you're in trouble. |
Surviving for 30 years is not an end to itself. But for 30 years we've tried to better society. We've tried to contribute to deeper changes. |
They addressed some big needs at running back and wide receiver. But the offensive linemen, I don't think anybody had heard of before Mississippi State started recruiting them. |
They are still loaded at the wide receiver position. It doesn't hurt to lose a couple of guys. |
They're bringing in some studs on the offensive line. If you put Andre Smith on that class, that's just the cherry on top. |
This could very well be my last year of carrot growing. |
We're just not sure what's going to happen yet. |
You feel like you're able to see the future. And it's bragging rights. You may win or lose on the field. But what's better than saying to your rival, this kid we were both recruiting likes my school better than yours? |
You're getting the tail end of those storms through Central California, and that's similar to precipitation outlooks for the next three months. |
