Everyone's saying, 'We're playing playoff hockey now,' and we are. We're playing for our lives. It's a huge game. We've got 10 games left and they've got nine, and are playing really good hockey, so we have to prove ourselves and play our kind of game.

He's built for playoffs. You look at guys over the years who were built for playoffs -- (Guy) Carbonneau and Mike Keane and Claude Lemieux. He's a gritty guy who does all the little things and he does them all year long.

I just think sometimes, when you start talking about something, it just kind of builds up. Kind of a snowball effect. Any time there's a one-goal game or only two goals, then people are always talking.

It ended up being a battle -- I'm sure that's what it's going to be for the whole series. Everybody's pretty fired up. It was like a playoff game.

It'd be awesome. You think of having a chance to win a banner and having it up in the rink forever is pretty cool. Guys know how much this game means.

It's awesome that the fans gave him a good cheer. Because it is painful. Anyone who's played hockey, even in beer leagues, knows that, as a forward, you don't have that much extra equipment.

It's exciting. We still have two games in California but it's awesome to win it against the Colorado Avalanche, and in Calgary Flames fashion -- gritty, low-scoring game where Kipper stood on his head -- is fitting.

It's happened too often. It's a terrible feeling. We're a good team and we'll rectify it, but it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth right now.

They got hot two years ago. They were the best team in the league for the last, I think, half of the year.

We have seven games left, 14 points, and if we win, we take care of our own destiny.

We kind of made it a point -- the coaches did in the meetings. We've got to get ugly goals and start driving the net. I thought we did a lot better job of driving to the net. Everybody did it tonight.

We know we need to play better. Everybody in here knows that.

We want to be in the playoffs and we've got to win these games. It's playoff hockey and it feels like playoff hockey.

You lose one and you've got to double-down for the next game. We really want to get our road record better and we've got three games on this road trip to rectify that so we've got to battle to get that done.
