| I have done this, and I will do that - I am an idiotic fool for saying this! I have forgotten the Doer of all; I am caught in the love of duality. There is no pain as great as the pain of Maya; it drives people to wander all around the world, until they become exhausted. |
| I have heard one thing, that the One Lord alone is fearless. |
| Lord and Master is lofty and exalted, grand and infinite |
| Lord pleases, He bestows His Blessings. |
| One who forgets the Name in this world, shall not find any place of rest anywhere else |
| True Guru protects and preserves God's honor |
| Without the Name, they suffer the agonies of coming and going. |
| A sacrifice, O my Lord of the Universe, a sacrifice, O my Beloved; I am forever a sacrifice to You. |
| Abandon the tastes of the world, and find intuitive peace. |
| Abandon your thirsty hopes and desires, and embrace love for the Lord. O Nanak, the True One shall come to dwell in your mind. |
| Abandoning all devices and contrivances, I have sought His Sanctuary. Nanak has fallen at the Feet of the Guru. |
| Abandoning meditation, penance and self-restraint, and the wisdom of good actions, you do not worship and adore the Lord's Name. |
| Above all is Your Glance of Grace, O God. Upon some it is bestowed less, and upon others it is bestowed more. |
