Having a plan for an end-use would help. |
I think we were perceived as the big, bad city trying to take their land. It's not as if we were trying to annex. This land is nearly worthless without it being cleaned up. And it's only worth something if we work together to clean it up. |

They (the school district) couldn't just give the property to us. They would probably be willing to help by reducing the cost. |
We kind of lost in extra innings. Somewhere in between sending them a suggested resolution and their vote not to support it ... I should have done a little more face-to-face. Basically, two years of hard work was killed by their failure to vote on something. |
