A lot of people probably feel like Steve and I won't be able to play together. I beg to differ. |
Anything can happen. Especially in New York. I haven't spoken to him, but I know Kevin is. He would like that. |
Both of those guys are beasts. |
Coach asked me if I wanted to go put my jersey on the court and then come right out. I said, 'Nah.' I don't want my kids to look back and say, 'My father went on the court just to keep up the streak.' I value the fact that I did play that many games in a row, but I think it's more important now to start a new streak. |
Coach is down for that. |
Coach is not giving up on us, he's coming every day and doing the same things. He's not getting kicked out of games. He's staying right there with us. |
Coach wanted us to push the ball tonight. We have to get fouls, loose balls and easy rebounds. Those are things that hurt us tonight. |
David knows his role. When he goes on the basketball court, he doesn't try to do anything he can't do. He just plays within himself. And when he gets on the court he brings energy. |
David Lee played phenomenal tonight. He's definitely the MVP of the game. Whenever you got a guy slashing and dunking, it makes it a lot easier for me penetrating. |
definitely the most talented team I've played on. |
Definitely, it's a loss. One thing he touched on, and it's something I've been thinking about it the last two years, is that eventually this is going to be over. You've got to put in what you can. I think with all the guys, it hit home. Eventually all of us are going to have to make this decision. |
Eventually, everybody's going to get to the point where everything is just going to flow. Right now, it's a little tough. |
Every day we go out and practice. We are all getting better. Especially at the mental aspects of the game. |
Every day we're talking about what I'm doing and Coach, and I'm a stiff because I didn't take the last shot. It seems like everything is being pushed away from what's really going on. What's really going on is we're a bad basketball team and we're trying to get better. I know, I'm used to being the scapegoat, but ... When is enough going to be enough? |
Everybody's trying to do what they can to win. No one is out there playing to lose, everyone is trying to contribute as far as playing defense, playing smart, playing together. |
