 Personal subjects such as pregnancy and stress management really require the warm, colorful, emotional feel that 35mm film provides. However, 35mm (as well as HD) is just generally too costly for DVD publishing. By combining 24P, a 40th of a second shutter speed (the same speed as 35mm) and the electronic cinema look, we were able to go well beyond the normal video latitude. This project set a new standard of excellence for us in a price range that hasn't previously permitted this level of quality. |
| Unique to the Step by Step DVD is the scripted program we designed. This feature allows the user to use the DVD as a timer during Yoga practices. A user can set the video for a selected period of time while meditating. During the meditation exercise, he or she can extend the time meditating simply by pressing a button on the remote control and choosing the time for the DVD to resume play. This sounds like a simple thing, but it is in fact a very sophisticated feature. No one else is doing it. |
| We like to create a seamless experience for the user by making the HTML on the disc match the website. The website can offer the updated material and since the viewer uses their browser to view everything they often can't tell whether they are on the disc or whether they are surfing the Web. It's just that surfing on the disc is so much faster. |
