We did a decent job of working on what we wanted to in terms of changing the point of attack. Getting the ball wide, getting it in, getting it wide again. We didn't take advantage of several of our opportunities. For the first time out I'm pleased. |
We did what we asked them to do the entire night. They came down one side and changed the point of attack to the guy on the weak side. That's one of the few times we did it all night long. Good things happen when you do that. You'd think they'd remember that. We've seen Christian hit the ball like that in practice, we'd love to get him open like that more often. |
We didn't get the ball wide, which I asked the guys to do. It was like they didn't want to be out there tonight. |
We got unlucky with Corey getting hurt, I think we got unlucky with a couple of calls. Boom, right back down our throats at the end. |
We have a very inexperienced team. We have a couple of kids that got a fair amount of playing time. |
We have some strong players. Cory, Carter Mills, Bram Simms all play at a very high level. I see that to be our strength. I don't see them as the guys that can carry the team. We need to find a few others that play all-year round that need to step up. |
We hustled, we stayed with them physically and nobody gave up. That is what I liked. |
We just gave them a few basic instructions and they didn't really do what I asked them to do. I asked them at halftime, they play a very compact game and they like to start everything in the middle and work their way out, so I asked our guys at halftime to start playing the ball wider and over the top of their last offender and they just didn't do it as much as they should have. |
We kept knocking balls out of bounds, I don't know what it was. Some of the guys I expected to play their normal game, which is a pretty steady game, and they didn't play well. We didn't seem to hold the middle of the field real well. |
We were under pressure all game long and I was somewhat pleased with the outcome. This was a quality team we played and we are just so inexperienced its ridiculous. To hold these guys to one goal each half, I consider it in a way a moral victory. I think it is going to do nothing but help our team. |
We're not getting the numbers out. You get some of the Hispanic players that have issues with getting transportation. So they're playing in adult leagues, and I don't know the type of coaching they're getting. |
