A mistake pitch. I wanted it down and in, something he'd have to chase. |
He's a good hitter and he's starting to swing the bat well. Whether the guy is struggling at the plate or he's hot, you always want to make your pitches because it can go either way at any time. If he's struggling, he's going to turn it around some time. |
I didn't put any extra pressure on myself or anything like that. I knew it was going to be a close game so I had to give my team the best chance that I could to stay in the ball game. |
I didn't throw many strikes. That was the key to the game right there. |
I haven't really given it much thought, to be honest. I'm just trying to go out there and do what I can do. I'll let the rest take care of itself. |
I just want to have the same kind of performance I did last week. I'll just stay aggressive and throw positive strikes. Strike one is the key. |
I really don't think about stuff like that. I just want to go out and pitch and do the best I can regardless of the situation. It's easier for me that way. I don't think about anything else when I'm out there. |
I think I pitched a lot better than the numbers would indicate. I went out there and had a little bad luck, poor run support and my record happened. I'm looking forward to putting that behind me and taking a new approach with this team. |
I think I threw the ball well. That's the only thing I can control. |
It was up in the zone. Not the pitch I wanted to make. |
It's been real tough. We've lost six in a row. This is no fun. |
It's real tough. It's just no fun. |
That one wasn't bad. It was in on his hands, where I wanted it. But he's a good hitter. |
The hits that they had weren't on good pitches. |
This is what I'm always trying to do. It's taken three games this year to do it, but I always try to be aggressive, pound the strike zone and use the eight other fielders. |
