I have put together some good games or whatever, but I still don?t think it is enough because I haven?t been able to pull my team along as much as I would have liked to. You always want us to get better as a team rather than worry about individual statistics. |
I have to be ready. I am going to do anything they want me to do here. I need to show them what I can do. I'm not going to be thinking that I'm just a bench guy. I have to concentrate like I'm an everyday guy. Every chance I get, I have to show what I can do. |

I have very good memories of Peak Practice. The people I worked with knew it was my first job so everyone was really helpful. John Bowler, who played my father and is now doing The Bill, helped me out hugely on that job. I'm still relying on his advice today. |
I hope Israel is not going to use the fact it has done something right in withdrawing from Gaza in order to do a lot wrong regarding settlement activities, the wall and other matters. I hope they will use this to stay the course and to return to negotiations. |
I hope this is the last time we have the No. 1 pick. At the same time it is of great value to us. Certainly the No. 1 pick is more valuable than the No. 2 pick. But we weren't playing for draft picks. We were playing to win the games. Unfortunately we didn't. |
I just dream of the day where anywhere I go, I have a good solid turnout. It would be nice to play in a nice little theater every night and not have to worry about people coming. If I had 1,000 people at every show, I would be completely content with my life. |
I just probably got a little anxious thinking about overtime instead of making free throws. I guess I'm human after all. I'm going to make some plays down the stretch and I'm not going to make some plays and tonight was one of those days and it wasn't my day. |
I just think we have a very resilient bunch of guys. We've been there, we learn from our mistakes pretty quick. We go out and correct something that went wrong and go out and apply it to the next game. I think maybe that's the biggest thing we are able to do. |
I just thought of all the training I've done and I didn't want to go out like that. That (second period) reversal was crucial. Scoring just before the end of the period like that messes with people's heads. That was the turning point of the match right there. |
I just want Minor League umpires to be respected. They tell us we're apprentices, but we feel like kids. A nine-year apprenticeship? Usually apprentices make at least 50 percent of their masters. We're not even making close to that if you look at the numbers. |
I just wanted to come out and have fun with the kids, and it's a chance to be a kid yourself again. It's obvious they look up to us, and it's a great role we played today, being as nice as possible to them and having fun with them. That's what it's all about. |
I kind of thought it up. I think it's a great analogy. I got screwed up in some of the details. I know that he discovered the West Indies, it wasn't America. I said periscope one time instead of saying telescope; they thought it was a submarine the other day. |
I kind of took it easy all day just so I could get in the car to come over and do that. You know, Larry and I both really love volleyball and we really like the kids we working with. It was a huge disappointment that I wouldn't be able to participate in that. |
I kinda feel like I know the funniest people. I guess Bill Murray. It's really, really hard for him to do wrong in my estimate. We just rented The Man Who Knew Too Little, and it's a pretty misguided movie. But there are things that he does that are so funny. |
