We've got three starters back on offense and two on defense. We're very green, ... We lost our offensive line, quarterback and main wide receiver. We're running around like chickens with our heads cut off. It's kinda early. These endowments, we look at them as a glorified scrimmages. |
We've had a very nice experience with diversity overall here in Munster. This has been a very professional community over the years with doctors, lawyers and professional people from all over the world, and their children have become part of our school districts in Northwest Indiana. |
We've had days where I've had kids in my office that are crying and need to share their hearts for a while. It's been tough, but I honestly think it's brought us together in a special way. We've formed a bond that not every team feels. We just know we have to be there for each other. |
We've had to regroup in the past. The difference between that is we're having to regroup with a young team. It's not like we're sitting around with a team that has expectations, or a team that has experience. You're going to get better in some areas, but I know it's going to be hard. |
We've prepared on the court to get better as a team and subtly, without telling the players, did breakdown drills that were point-specific to both (CSU and TCU). We gave each of the kids a DVD of the last game against both teams and had them look at it. I know we'll be ready to play. |
We've really come together and done some amazing things. We knew there couldn't be any more mistakes. We had to get focused and take each challenge one at a time. Each week it gets better, and this game will be even harder and we'll have to play much better. This is the big show now. |
We've really prayed as a family and sought God on this and really felt that God put on our hearts that He is calling on us to live a pure life. He really just challenged us over these past few years based on Romans 12:2 of not conforming to the world but allowing Him to transform us. |
We've spent barely $700 million in federal grants to U.S. ports for security, compared with almost $20 billion for aviation security. And most important, we are doing an abysmal job in assisting ports in the developing world in improving security to even minimal acceptable standards. |

Well we are going to rebuild this location here. The front part of the building looks like it is going to be OK. We will go in there first, hopefully in the next three to four weeks. And then we will rebuild the back. And hopefully that will be done in 60 to 90 days. That's the goal. |
Well, I think if I had married a different woman I would of had a very different life. She was my partner both emotionally and intellectually. At work and at play and she brought up the 3 children that we have, brought them up to be well behaved, modest and not over-bearing children. |
Well, nobody has ripped my jersey off of my back yet. Until they demand it back from me, I'm not giving it back. I'm just going to keep trying. That's all I know. That's all I've known since I was little. Keep working hard and plugging away until all 30 teams say they don't want you. |
What I learned today is the type of people who are coming across the border have changed. Now, a lot of the people coming across the border are criminals, and potentially terrorists — people who have a mind to commit crimes against Americans and maybe to blow us all up and kill us. |
What I think Pat is doing is he's trying to get us perfect. There's no coach that would come out and say, 'You're perfect,' because once you hear your coach say that, then we'll slip up and we'll start slacking. He's doing what he's supposed to. He's supposed to stay on us like that. |
What is beauty, or our sense of beauty, for? Where did it come from? Is it some accidental off-flowering from sex? Was the lion I saw swimming alone up and down an inlet, parting its sleek dark head to bark and bark and bark, feeling something we might recognize as an aesthetic zest? |
