I don't know if a short week ever helps you when you play a physical sport like football. But I have the confidence the guys will do what it takes to get their legs back, to get the bumps out, and will come out this next game swinging. That's all you can do come back and come out swinging. |
I don't know that we've taken advantage of his shooting yet because we haven't had it that long. But he does stretch the defense out. When (opponents) go out and cover him, we have to start hitting those seams a little more. But when they come back to recover, it's going to leave him open. |
I don't know what it is about (Charlotte), but they seem to have our number this year. I think every year you kind of struggle against one team. For the most part they've been competitive games, but for whatever reason, they've been able to come up with a few more bounces and get the wins. |
I don't know where I get it from. My family has no sense of humor, none. It's a genetic mutation, I guess. I tried drawing naked pictures when I was in the third grade. You'd have seen how funny my mom was then. Or when I took a bat to a car my dad had been buffing all day. He's not funny. |
I don't necessarily believe that everyone here is 100 percent. But everyone in the draw is really what we need. I think as the players get more healthy, and the top players get to compete against each other more and more, it's really going to help our sport. We've had a tough couple years. |

I don't think he gets enough credit for the things he's accomplished in this game. Not just as a player but being the first African-American manager and so forth. From my standpoint, I'm deeply appreciative of the things he's gone through to allow me the opportunity to get managerial jobs. |
I don't think it was anything structural. He's just on schedule. He'll pitch whenever his day comes up. It's just a freak thing. He threw the ball real well. I was a little suspicious in the fifth inning because he dropped down on his slider, which hadn't been the case earlier in the game. |
I don't think there are too many rock bands in history that can look at the beginning and middle and ending of themselves and see what I see when I think of Soundgarden. I think from the beginning through the middle and the end it was such a perfect ride and such a perfect legacy to leave, |
I don't think we are [far behind them]. They had three girls really step up for them when they needed it and they made their free throws down the stretch. But the bottom line is the kids played hard and never gave up, and I guess sometimes, you just have to turn around and go back to work. |
I don't think you can apply that to all schools. It's so hard to predict what opportunities and interests students will have in 20 years, or what the job market will be like in 15 or 20 years from now. I don't think anybody, schools or parents, can base their instruction primarily on that. |
I don't think you can control that. Your job is to tackle the quarterback, hit the quarterback, hit the running back. Big hits. You have to create momentum, create an edge, and that is part of the game, it will always be part of the game. But you never want to see nobody get injured. Ever. |
I feel like a thief. And I don't steal. Put two and two together. It ain't because of me. Ain't because of me. I had 50 in the first. You tell me. You do the math. Last time I checked. That's all I'm saying. They do what they do. They're trying to turn me into a thief, but I ain't a thief. |
I feel like we're starting to get some breaks, ... Sometimes the ball bounces a certain way, but we need to create our own breaks, and Doc is great example of that. He was hustling downfield. Had he not been, that would have been Philly's ball and it would have been a whole different game. |
I feel more prepared. Last year, you know, I didn't - we played Davis Cup in December, so by the time this came around it felt pretty quick to me. I definitely feel like I did more due diligence this year, was a little more ready to go and had a little bit more time to prepare on my terms. |
