He is the democratically elected president, but he has had difficulties in his presidency. And ... whether or not he is able to effectively continue as president is something that he will have to examine, ... I hope that he will examine it carefully considering the interests of the Haitian people.
  Colin Powell

He reminds me of Steve Young in his prime with his mobility, ... I coached some great quarterbacks in Boomer and Joe, but their styles were different than this kid. But those guys were great commanders. We threw the no-huddle at him (Sunday), and he handled it the way they did in their early days.

He runs good routes, has great speed, and he's physical. He can break the game open. A lot of receivers, you can press them, and they won't be able to do anything. This guy, he thrives on that. He likes it when you put your hands on him. That's the difference between him and other great receivers.

He said, we're looking for somebody who'll be able to handle the media attention and the pressure. Would you be comfortable playing with her? I said yeah, definitely, I'll play with her. I was shocked and I was shaking but I think I still I got the words out almost before he finished the question.

He smoked a couple of balls (Monday) night. That's what we expect out of him. He hits a lot of doubles and drives a lot of balls to the gap. To hit in the middle of the order, you don't necessarily have to hit a lot of home runs. You just need to be able to drive in runs, and he has that capacity.

He throws 10 pitches (during the game), and then he's in the conditioning room for an hour and he's just rolling in to the clubhouse when the game is over. He's put in that much work to maintain his body. He doesn't take his body for granted. That's why he's so good. That's why he's had longevity.

He was a great advocate of cycling, a great role model for cyclists. I met him at a public meeting in Leesburg. And he got up and spoke to the presenters. He spoke in support of additional trail projects. And I think he was instrumental in bringing other people to the meetings to speak their mind.

He was a person with extraordinary intelligence. But more than that, he was a real civic scientist, one who not only does great science, but uses that knowledge and fame to do good, to benefit society, and to try and educate the public. He had a palpable wish to solve some of the world's problems.

He was saying how loaded this team is and how tough it is finding at-bats for everyone. The guy who's swinging the hot bat will probably decide things a lot, but I told him that playing two out of every three games or something like that is fine with me. Whatever he needs to do to keep guys fresh.

He was the first one we actually met face to face. By the end of the conversation, in the reality staring us in the face, we turned to each other and said we just want Joe to be happy and find a way for him to move on in his life. He's a guy you just want to move so he can find some sort of peace.

He was throwing hard but he made a couple of mistakes and we were able to take advantage. You pop those mistakes up and it's a different ball game. Fortunately for us we were able to put good swings on the ball and get some knocks and when we had the chance to drive in runs, we were able to do it.

He wouldn't accept the role of a loser despite all of the setbacks and problems, ... Within himself he always was working far past this week's game or this season. He always lived with his grand scheme for building a great team in Dallas. It was obvious he was going to play the best men available.

He'll be out three to six weeks. It's a big loss for us. We're not the most physical team, and he brings a little physicality. And maybe more importantly, he's a guy who can cover people on the perimeter or inside. We don't have many players who are quick enough to do that, like Alan Anderson did.

He's a big factor for our team. We trust him when he's out there to run the offense and protect the ball. Everyone is confident when he's out there. But the guys who have stepped up and replaced him have done a great job. It's just tough when a senior leader goes out who's so valuable to our team.

He's a big, strong kid and he's a second-year (40-man) roster guy, and he proved why he's on the 40-man roster. He actually pitched, more so than he did in the first outing. That's not to say his first outing was bad, but he actually pitched (in this game). That's what I was really pleased to see.
