I think this team has set a standard for themselves both in practice and in games to be the very best we can be every day we step onto the field. I think it's a true testament to the senior class and it's certainly a credit to how they've prepared and approached every day since they walked onto this campus. |
I think those three (concerns) are right on. It was a tough year on the field. We've never experienced anything like that. On the bright side, we made the playoffs and came within that third game of going to the championship series. I think, considering some of what we went through, that's saying something. |
I think we were just so overwhelmed with being here. It kind of took over our nerves. We're the first swimmers to make it to the state in our school's history. That's quite an accomplishment. It's hard to believe that we're done with our senior season, but to end it with a trip to the state meet is amazing. |

I think we're ready for it to start. We've had moments that don't excite me when on offense we quit attacking and settle for outside shots. Our focus has to be played for 32 minutes. If we can do that I like our chances. The nice thing about our team is we are deep. We have a lot of players we can relay on. |

I think what you're seeing today is a trend that you're going to continue to see through the end of the year: a rotational shift out of some of the big tech gainers, particularly the [semiconductors], as well as other small-caps, and into the less exciting stocks that haven't participated as much this year, |
I think you'll find in any second-year player, his comfort level is much greater. There's no question he's more comfortable with our offense and understanding the plays and the design of the plays and where they're intended to go. Consequently, he's much more in control of the huddle than he was a year ago. |
I thought it was great; every race doesn't have to be an epic death march. It was an exceptional course that made for exceptional racing. The top 10 was tightly packed (only 1:58 separated Landis from No. 10 finisher Jason McCartney of Discovery Channel). It made things more exciting; it added to the drama. |
I thought we played horrible. You want to give Pittsburgh credit but I didn't think our team came in prepared. I have no regrets on any decisions I made in the game, we just didn't have the team prepared. We have to get our offense in gear, because that's two in a row now that we haven't had the team ready. |
I told our guys, we're not playing Milwaukee. We're playing ourselves. We have a certain way we want to play on offense and on defense. And if we do that, we give ourselves a chance to win against anybody. We can feel good about this right now. But we have to get back to work and prepare to go to Milwaukee. |
I totally miss all that stuff. Touring in a van, playing small shows — those end up being the coolest times. Sure, they were terrible at the time, and we slept on a lot of floors next to a lot of cat poop. But when you think about them, they were what brought everybody together. They were like adventures. |
I was born in LeMoyne Gardens and grew up in South Memphis where I attended Florida, Walker and Ford elementary schools, and Carver and Mitchell high schools. As a child my Big Mama always made me stay in the house; I could not play like the other kids. I had to go in for Bible study in my little red chair. |
I was disappointed that Fieldin reacted as quickly as he did, but he has a legitimate gripe. Randy was saying some things in the first inning and by the second inning Cubby had enough. In the first inning they went back and forth and Fieldin told him, to his credit, that he's had enough and to calm it down. |
I was keen that if Sven was going to enjoy his football trade past 2006, that I was aware of it. In a way we've been trying to insure against [being left in the lurch], by having a mature relationship, that we would try and prevent that situation. What was important for me was to be seen to be backing Sven. |
