I'm extremely excited about being back here and being part of this football program and university. It's a great opportunity for me to come back. It's an opportunity for me to coach quarterbacks. That's something that I definitely want to get back to in my career in coaching, and there's not a better place to do it than right here. |
I'm feeling comfortable out there. I know what I'm doing. I know my responsibilities. That's a lot of the game. Coach (John) Fox says 95% of the game in mental, and it really is. When you get to this level, there are a few superstars, but the majority of people, athletic wise, are the same. It's the mental part that separates them. |
I'm proud of my kids. (This season) was kind of a roller coaster ride. For us to get here, I just shake my head. I'm kind of amazed we even got this far. We've gone through a lot this year. For our kids to hang in there and keep fighting, keep battling and give themselves a chance to play in a sectional is a tribute to the seniors. |
I'm staying in the game and making sure my eyes are in the hitting zone when the ball comes. That is the most important thing. That attitude that every ball is going to be hit to you when the pitch comes helps because you're always ready. As opposed to saying, 'Please don't hit it to me.' You have to want the ball to be hit to you. |
I'm thrilled that I made it because I knew it was going to be really close. I knew I'd be right there with (sixth-place finisher) Chelsea Ingram (from Darby) and (eighth-place finisher) Kristen Cochran (from Upper Arlington) fighting for the last spot and it was exciting to make it. My bar routine was the best I've done all season. |

I've always performed classical ballet so I've never been challenged like this. (African dance) is very different. In ballet we're always thinking about holding our arms out straight and being in an up position. You're more grounded with African movements - moving your arms very differently - it's all about being down in the earth. |
I've been doing this for 11 years, and I must say this is the best tour to date. I love being 'the reptile guy,' scaring audiences as I battle alligators and snakes. When was the last time a person pulled a 16-foot snake out at you and made you feel just a bit nervous? That's what the circus experience is all about, the unexpected. |
I've been telling him that for the last two years. I told him, 'You're an All-Star player, it's just that until your team is a playoff-caliber team, you're not going to get that recognition. Once we get where we're supposed to be, all of that will come. Just keep working hard and improving your game.' He's done a great job of that. |
I've said all along: He's the reincarnation of Marshall Faulk. That's what he is. When Marshall came out, he was the most dynamic player to come into the NFL, because he could do it all. And this kid can do it all. Every time he touches the ball, he can pop one. He can, and he did today, unfortunately. He's a great football player. |
I've talked to him all year about thinking small, and big things will happen. When you're fighting for a pennant, everybody here will remember that at-bat (on Saturday) rather than a two-run home run when you're up by six runs. I don't think he would have done that last year because he would have been trying to do something bigger. |
If he was having an intimate relationship with her at the end of April, beginning of May, he of all people would know her state of mind. We know that she was upbeat from telephone messages she left and we would like the congressman to tell us not just when and where he met with her, but what they talked about and what was her mood. |
If he wins, it's a whole new ball game. It's a step up and if we can get in that position, I guarantee we'll be right back in the fold. I thought Kirk Johnson was going to come through for us. He didn't. And if a guy like Peter, with his punching power, can't come through, then we're in trouble. Where would we go? What would we do? |
If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom: / Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door? / Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that mine adversary had written a book. |
