I don't think a lot of the guys from the Midwest and the West Coast really know what to make of him at first. When he came in with his verbiage and attitude, it didn't shock me much. We were sort of on the same wavelength. The New Jersey state of mind is the stereotypical street kid who doesn't take anything from anyone. That's how we want our offense to be. |

I don't think we care anymore about what we're gonna do. We're just gonna be our own band and we're not gonna pretend to be any more rock or any less whatever than we are. We're kinda hardcore kids, we're kinda a metal band in this weird way, we're kinda into soul, we're kinda into folk, we're kinda into a lot of stuff and we're just gonna do whatever we do. |

I have full confidence that everyone who is going will represent really well. Everyone who is going is a really good representation of U.S. snowboarders and snowboarders anywhere. I think everyone has full potential to sweep (all the medals). The Olympics is the biggest event in the world, so I'm really looking forward to going there and having a lot of fun. |
I have no interest in murder, and I have no interest in people dying, ... But I'm interested in people's minds, and sometimes Manson puts thoughts together that I find really interesting. Have you ever seen his unedited videos? He starts making a lot of sense. I'm sure people are scared of that, but to me, it's scarier to watch George Bush try to make sense. |

I just don't know what to make of the comments he's always making about Jacksonville. He either has a buddy here he's talking to through code or something. I'm not sure I get it. He's been a successful coach for a long time. I would think it would be out of character for a guy who has been a successful coach for as long as he has. It almost sounds desperate. |
I just remember that there were a couple of times I was dating somebody for a relatively long period of time, and by the time New Year's came around and made its way to Valentine's Day, I remember thinking I was really letting myself settle for feelings I really didn't feel satisfied with. Valentine's Day is really a time where you take a look where you are. |
I knew it would be a special class for Coach Donovan and Florida. We looked at the type of character that he recruited for his team. As soon as they met each other on campus the first day, they hit it off very well. We sensed that as parents. By the second day of us dropping them off at school for good, we knew that they had a great chemistry for themselves. |
I knew that I could win in the last lap, with about a half-lap left. I knew I had better finishing speed, so I was not demoralized to see her taking the lead. I wasn't feeling very well. I had some stitches, and that was the reason (for letting her hold the lead). I won with God's will, and it was very hard...I hope to take many more medals in cross country. |
I know there's going to be a (bombshell) in Venezuela. 'Why isn't Melvin (going) to be in the Baseball Classic?' I have to explain to everybody: I'm not a center fielder anymore. I'm not an outfielder anymore. I'm a third baseman. I cannot go over there to look ridiculous in front of a million people to try to catch a fly ball and (have) the ball go over me. |
I lived on a farm until I was 7 during the Great Depression, ... It didn't affect us, though, because our farm was self-sufficient. We had cows, hens, chicken, pigs and a donkey. The only thing we bought from the store was flour and sugar. ... My grandmother, Sarah Carter, smelled good, like apples, because she was always busy making apple cake or apple pie. |
I oppose amnesty because I don't think people here illegally should get to go to the front of the line, ... But when we have hundreds of thousands of people standing at lines at embassies for the chance to come here and work in this country, laying pavement and picking lettuce in the 120-degree heat, I think we should come up with a system to allow for that. |
I picked special needs because I was in special education growing up at Boca Elementary School and Boca Raton Middle School. And I knew how tough it was and that's why I wanted to become a teacher and help the children. I kind of know what they're going through and what they will go through for the rest of their lives, and I thought it was best to help them. |
