In the United States, there's a strong taboo against racism; in England it's only happened in the past 15 years. In Spain and Eastern Europe, there is none of this revulsion among most people. There are few people of color, so a black player on the field is a new thing. In that sense, soccer is seen by racists as the vanguard of the world outside sweeping into town. |

It is time to move on and I decided that, with my family, last summer. I told the chairman at the beginning of the season that I felt this would be my last campaign. It is a demanding job but I would not have changed anything about it. Am I sad? No. We are turning this into a soap opera. Managers come and go but the well-being of Rangers is the most important thing. |
It is true that programs are going to be hunting for dollars. And it is true there are more programs than dollars. But the civilian leaders are doing nothing to bring the budget in line. Even though we are hearing a lot of rhetoric from the office of the Defense secretary, we see they are going along with what the services want. It shows who is running the Pentagon. |
It is unacceptable that immigrant workers labor in unsafe conditions for wages insufficient to support their families. It is unacceptable that immigrants, including children, are shackled and detained in deplorable conditions. And it is unacceptable that already this year immigrants have died by the dozens in the California desert or in other parts of the Southwest. |
It means we're starting to see some economic activity occur that we haven't seen before. The reason Quincy is becoming a site that seems to be of interest for a number of companies is because of its location between Moses Lake and Wenatchee. Talk about an easy drive from both communities, it gives you a larger combined work force and there are some benefits to that. |
It should not be the end of the privacy debate to say that technological change takes information outside the protection of the Fourth Amendment as interpreted by the courts 25 years ago, ... What we need is to translate the Fourth Amendment's vision of limited government power and personal privacy to the global, decentralized, networked environment of the Internet. |
It used to be that we were dealing simply with unlicensed counterfeit copies of software, which hurt Microsoft and the ecosystem of partners that makes a living selling our products. Today the problem is much bigger, and it's our responsibility to do whatever we can to help protect consumers and ensure that they are purchasing and using genuine Microsoft® software. |
It was a busy start, there was a lot of traffic, and there were a lot of people trying to get by. I got forced off-line by someone and they got me into the marbles. We had some contact with the tire wall. Fortunately the Pontiac is built strong. When I hit that wall, I didn't expect to be here at the end of the race. The car was good for Andy and it was good for me. |

It was a very weird match with lots of ups and downs. I started playing very strong but couldn't keep the level I had in the first set. I need to get used to be playing at my highest again day after day, in tough matches like that. It is hard to keep my concentration, which is probably one of the most important part of the game, and the element that failed me today. |
It was awesome to go undefeated. We are going to celebrate tonight but we have to come back and work hard if we want to win the tournament. We would love to play Illinois in the final like we have the last few years. It's always a great match when we play them. We have guys that thrive off of big game atmospheres and it's always special when we compete against them. |
It was pleasure watching him grow ? from a ninth-grader with so much potential, seeing him mature as an athlete from an emotional freshman. He became such a leader. He's such a good person, a good guy ? just a quality individual. He was so much more than just a gifted athlete. He was a pleasure to be around and I know we won't see his level of athlete in our school. |
It's a big ice and they're a free-wheeling team. They played well but we're never going to give up. We had good things happen for us last year and we're doing it again. It doesn't matter how much time is left on the clock. We buzzed around late in the third period and we know we have what it takes to score at any time. It's just a matter of baring down and doing it. |
