We all knew some things would change during the course of the season, but this was pretty big. This was a lot. To have people that didn't start with us playing such critical roles now tells you a lot. They're right in the middle of it. We've done a lot of things and it's pretty clear that we wouldn't be standing where we are right now if it wasn't for all those moves. |
We also feel that in moving Wayne into the role of general manager on an interim basis we will be better able to develop (coach) Sam Mitchell's growth toward being a very good NBA coach during the second half of the season. Wayne has the leadership qualities and league-wide credibility that we need to get to the next level. He has the full powers of a general manager. |
We are also supposed to get two more trucks with ice and water today, ... But I'm crossing my fingers because I don't know that that will happen since no one from FEMA or MEMA or anybody has bothered to check on the town of Richton. I know the Gulf Coast is devastated, but if we don't take care of our elderly they are going to die and then our town will be devastated. |
We are playing good basketball right now. It's hard to not be part of it. I felt like I was playing well, and I wanted to play better. I felt like I was able to give more, and now I'm not able to. The timing is as bad as it could get. But even with all those things, I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason. I think something good is going to come out of it. |
We are pleased that Pat and Paul have joined us, and their stellar career history and reputation among clients is what makes them a perfect fit for us. They broaden our client base and add depth of experience in the chemical, biotechnology, international policy, and defense sectors, where technical expertise plays such a strong role in successful government relations. |
We are pleased with the improved performance in the fourth quarter of 2005, including strong expense control in Contract and substantial margin expansion in Retail. With the fourth quarter Contract and Retail results, we continue to believe that OfficeMax is positioned to achieve the 2006 and intermediate- term goals that we outlined in our turnaround plan last month. |
We are really excited to be back north and feel like the last eight games were more of an indication of where we are than the first eight were. We have six seniors, but nine first-years and sophomores, so we are young, and ask a lot of some of our first-years. Playing and gaining experience is one of the best results from Florida and we are looking to build upon that. |
We came away with a .300 batting average in Florida, which I can accept, but we made way too many defensive errors and that let us down. What used to be our strong point, defense, let us down. And our pitchers didn't get it done on the mound. Off the field, we wanted to do more as a team and we didn't get that accomplished either. That will be different in the future. |
We can accommodate all of the corporate jets out there. The market for an airport like this is the commercial passenger planes, commercial freight and also general aviation - usually piston-engine aircraft and jet traffic. We also have several military contracts with (United States) Customs, (the Department of) Homeland Security and all branches of the armed services. |
We can no longer compromise America's border security, allowing potentially dangerous individuals and materials to slip freely across the border and into our country, ... We must boldly address the challenges of border security first, which is why I will start the debate in the Senate with a measure that aggressively strengthens and improves enforcement at the border. |
We can't put four good quarters together. Against Independence (79-61 loss Dec. 16) we were up 34-30 at halftime, and then the wheels just fell off us a little. We're not getting consistent scoring from enough people and we've not even been getting close losses like we did last year. A lot of it is that we just need to get consistent play from a lot of different guys. |
We debated long and hard about the issues over remounting. We felt that a ban would be using a sledgehammer to crack a nut and were confident that the welfare of the horse would remain at the forefront of owners', trainers' and jockeys' minds. We will be keeping the situation under constant review and would not rule out any further changes or amendments in the future. |
We did not deal with that success very well in 2001 [when LSU upset Tennessee for the SEC title], and it affected us in 2002 [when the Tigers went 8-5], ... Why do the mighty fall? Complacency. But there's also an element of a sophomore jinx. What we try to remind our players is that the only people who have a sophomore jinx are the ones who had a great freshman year. |
We did not know they were in the river until we started checking and found them five years ago. The gizzards had been established in Morgan for nearly four years before anyone started to look for them elsewhere. No one looked for them before that time. Navajo reservation biologists are in charge of the reservoir. It was so far from us we had no idea what was going on. |
We don't really care about what's happened the past couple years. I think we're just concentrating on what's going on now. It's an advantage against everybody else. They can think what they want to think, they can worry about that, and if they have that perception of us, great. They line up against us, we got them thinking like that, then they'll see a different team. |
