Sean's been the most consistent both in getting into plays and making decisions and making throws. Sean has thrown the ball more accurately than he did last fall. He's made very good decisions. He is against a couple of quarterbacks who are more athletic than he is. So it's not so much as what he's done wrong, but the other kids have done some things right. That's why this is a tough decision. |
Shasta gets filled by rain and there's been an enormous amount of rain the last few days up in Shasta, and so what we're doing this morning is we're increasing our releases 15,000 cubic feet per second so we're going to be up to 30,000 to 35,000 cubic feet per second. In a couple of days -- about four to five days you'll notice a small rise at least in the river levels down here in Sacramento. |
She sees herself in a very clear way, which is atypical for an 18-year-old girl. She sees herself for what she is and who she is. If she scores 31 points, she thinks she should have because she's 3 inches taller and 40 pounds heavier than anyone guarding her. If she gets 20 rebounds, she thinks she should have because we missed a bunch of shots. She's very matter-of-fact about the whole thing. |
She, I think, always kind of exemplified leadership. She was extremely active in high school and asserted herself in many ways. She participated very heavily in high school activities, and I think part of her impetus for becoming a leader is that she was always the big sister for me and always in charge of me and was very comfortable in that role. I think that plays a role in who she is today. |
So many able writers have shown that the unjust institutions which work so much misery and suffering to the masses have their root in governments, and owe their whole existence to the power derived from government we cannot help but believe that were every law, every title deed, every court, and every police officer or soldier abolished tomorrow with one sweep, we would be better off than now. |
Some of our freshmen are starting to come around and that's very encouraging. You know, some people may look at these losses now and think it's a down year of whatever, but I look at it as what we're doing now is definitely going to be a good building block for the future. We're starting to drop our score two or three strokes every match. If we can keep doing that, we're going to be all right. |
Something like this, you can only hit on the basics. That's OK, but some of these kids need a lot more. But there's definitely more programs we're talking about doing in the coming months, and we're always ready to do private or semi-private instruction. With the Triple Crown facility, it kind of takes away any excuse somebody might have for not staying ready and staying in shape for baseball. |
Sometimes things just don't work out. You change coaches, change schemes, there's other demands. There could be personality conflicts, production compared to salary. There are a lot of reasons. What I'm not going to say is it didn't work and say this guy wasn't good enough. It just didn't fit here right now. Peerless is a good person. It's my hope he has a productive career — somewhere else. |
Technology changes and convergence are shaping a new competitive dynamic and creating tremendous opportunity. We're creating a company with much better capabilities to seize these opportunities while maintaining its strong focus on customer service and community involvement. This was the right time for this merger. This combination is good for our employees, our customers and our stockholders. |
That game was huge, absolutely, ... I was not so happy the way I was playing, especially in the second set. Third was getting better, especially after that pass. I really felt that shift in momentum. I took advantage of that. In the fourth set, I started to feel like I'm really in control again where I didn't feel that way at all before. I had the feeling actually momentum was all on his side. |
That man's best works should be such bungling imitations of Nature's infinite perfection, matters not much; but that he should make himself an imitation, this is the fact which Nature moans over, and deprecates beseechingly. Be spontaneous, be truthful, be free, and thus be individuals! is the song she sings through warbling birds, and whispering pines, and roaring waves, and screeching winds. |
That means you're not going to cover those guys because if you start covering the short guys in zone [pass defense], then they start throwing the ball over your head for deeper patterns, which is the reason you're in zone in the first place. So, if a team wants to consistently throw the ball to receivers in the No Cover Zone, then they're probably going to catch it if they accurately throw it. |
That's pretty much a tired topic. At this point, it's either you're riding with me, or you're not. I feel like this is the prime of my life and the prime of my career, and there's a lot bigger things in store for me. So when I hear that stuff, I just remember that at some point in time, every athlete who plays this game is going to hear something like that. I just take it with a grain of salt. |
The advance sell-out of the 93rd Grey Cup game speaks to the hard work and efforts of the 2005 Grey Cup Organizing Committee and reinforces the growing strength of the CFL across the entire country. As we head into our Thanksgiving Classic weekend and with the race for playoffs building with excitement, we look forward to once again celebrating Canada's Championship with fans around the world. |
The American Library Association (ALA) is saddened by the tragic loss of life and widespread damage to homes and communities by Hurricane Katrina, ... Libraries are an indispensable part of their communities, providing support and resources for everyone. Dozens of libraries in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama need our assistance so they, in turn, can meet the many needs of their communities. |
