It was very good out there today. I hit the ball nicely and I just tried to concentrate on hitting the ball well today and not getting ahead of myself, which I tend to do, so I was very happy with my round. It is the first time I have played a European Tour event which is not co-sanctioned with another tour so I am enjoying it very much. It is a big event with a lot of good players so I am just trying to absorb it all. |
It's a hurdle that you have to get over when you're losing in order to win. That hurdle is much greater than your draft status. As I've said all along I don't believe that any one player takes you to the promised land in the game of football. The environment and everything about the game of football is out of our control. It's always good to have good players, but I believe that wherever we pick we're going to do well. |
It's a thrill to be on Columbia Records. Columbia has been home to a lot of my favorite artists -- like Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, and Bruce Springsteen -- and it feels great to be working with people who really understand what I'm trying to do and allow me the freedom to go in new musical directions. I'm very proud of the way Shine has turned out and I hope everyone enjoys listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it. |
It's always good to have the core of your offensive line returning. Experience counts at that position. We have four starters back and some other guys who have played. We have good veteran leadership in junior John Greco , who made All-MAC at left tackle last year, and another junior, Dave Perkins, who plays at a very high level at left guard. This will be their third year together as starters, which is very important. |
It's frustrating, but there's not a lot you can really do about it, ... It's not going to do any good to get mad or do anything else. You just got to keep working on it. Everybody is working on the cars as hard as they can work on them. They've been testing and trying to get the stuff better. We know we have the equipment to do it; we just have to keep working on it and figure out what we need to make the cars go fast. |
It's just a matter of us really focusing on what we need to do and not letting other outside things throw us off track. I know we've already experienced a bunch of things throughout this year with things happening outside the court and expectations and thoughts about what people should be doing and everything. I think so far we've done a really good job of playing basketball and not worrying about all that other stuff. |
It's just pure uncertainty. I just sit and try to synthesize all the news I get, putting a certain amount of uncertainty on the quality of the news. It appears to me that Bush has made up his mind to go into Iraq. The question is whether that turns out to have been a good idea once it's done. If it is, then that will be positive. If it's not, if we end up having a tiger by the tail in Baghdad, that's a different story. |

It's not going to be a surprise on draft day. As quick as we can, we want to come to a consensus and a decision. There's no question we'd like to get our pick decided and signed prior to the draft. There's no secret there. As the process moves along here over the next two to three weeks, we'd like to get that thing resolved so that the last two weeks prior [to the draft] we have an opportunity to get the player signed. |
It's not only about the cost. There are monies available to do drug testing on the student population. It would probably cost somewhere between $50 and $100 per student. It's more of a philosophical issue. If you start testing, it would open up a huge can of worms. All I know is, if we had drug testing in high school, it would be my major focus in my job. It would be the only thing I would do. It is that big of a task. |
J.P. Morgan had a fairly strong independent streak. In the last two-to-three years, they decided they were going to try to get their brand name out there to and leverage that into a business stream of revenue that would have allowed them to remain independent. It didn't work. Their second goal: If you can't do it internally, let's command an extreme premium for that brand name. And they did that. Chase paid top dollar. |
Jefferson's religion has been a question mark for some time, but a descendant of his who did thorough research came to the conclusion that Jefferson was a conservative Unitarian. That's accurate. In church attendance, Jefferson probably led the pack. He liked church going and he liked to listen to speeches, he really was a devout man. When his daughter died his other daughter found him off by himself reading the Bible. |
Jimmy has an incredible upside to his game, because he has great pace with a knack for scoring goals. Jimmy scores goals that only pure finishers can score. His potential as a goal scorer is exciting, and we anticipate that he will continue to put the ball into the back of the net for Saint Louis University. Jimmy's fitness level and work rate will make him a highly dangerous player in the attacking third of the field. |
