[Additionally, at the last three Rolex Grand Am races, the CITGO Racing Team and Howard-Boss Motorsports hosted children diagnosed with neuromuscular disease and their families. Katherine Shelton, Nicholas Patte and Bailey Dull were able to attend the races in Birmingham, Ala., Watkins Glen. N.Y. and Lexington, Ohio. These special guests spent time with drivers Milka Duno, Jan Lammers, Tony Stewart and Andy Wallace, along with members of the race team.] If we can do something for kids like this, it's great, ... Everyone should make a contribution to something like MDA. They need us. |
[Suddenly, about the Bushes, it all becomes clear. The whole family is under the baleful influence of a chap called Chang. Here is Governor Jeb Bush in a speech last week, naming Marco Rubio as Florida Speaker.] Chang is a mystical warrior. Chang is somebody who believes in conservative principles, believes in entrepreneurial capitalism, believes in moral values that underpin a free society. I rely on Chang with great regularity in my public life. He has been by my side and sometimes I let him down. But Chang, this mystical warrior, has never let me down. ... Should I unleash Chang? |
After this morning's free practice we were hoping for a better result than this, but the result over one flying lap this afternoon did not come up to our expectations. In fact, both our drivers found that their cars did not perform as well as they had done in the morning. However, I believe we will see a closely contested race on a track where overtaking is possible, especially on the main straight. Of course, it's not possible to make any more definitive predictions because of the usual unknowns surrounding the different fuel levels, consistency of tyre performance and reliability. |
And when any will offer a meat offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon: / And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests: and he shall take thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: / And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron's and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire. |
Both [the 2GB and the 4GB iPod nano] devices feature the wonderfully simple color menu system that the high-end iPod uses. However, the iPod nano also includes some extras you won't find anywhere else, including a multiple-time-zone clock, a stopwatch (perfect for you music-loving athletes), and a few new games. Apple has also added the ability to synchronize Microsoft Outlook contacts and calendars, making the iPod nano a handy PIM replacement, as well. Battery life is exceptional... Sound quality is superb, thanks to enhanced audio circuitry that first debuted in the iPod shuffle. |
But an officer on duty knows no one -- to be partial is to dishonor both himself and the object of his illadvised favor. What will be thought of him who exacts of his friends that which disgraces him? Look at him who winks at and overlooks offences in one, which he causes to be punished in another, and contrast him with the inflexible soldier who does his duty faithfully, notwithstanding it occasionally wars with his private feelings. The conduct of one will be venerated and emulated, the other detested as a satire upon soldiership and honor. |
Homeland Security issues warnings of further terrorist attempts to use airplanes for suicide attacks. Number five. I think I would have to go so far as to say Russell is Jim Braddock. I'm amazed the way Russell picked up his mannerisms, his smoothness, the legs, the way he slides, that slip, slide, block, slide, jab - boom! Like Jim, he has just about the greatest left hook I've ever seen. He's got the speed, the rhythm, the determination and especially the will. Best of all, he has learned to think like a fighter. One thing about Braddock is that he was a smart fighter, and Russell uses his noodle just like Braddock did. I do think if he wasn't an actor, Russell could have been a great fighter. |
I'm going to be busy these next several weeks rehabbing, training and getting healthy so that I can play my very best for myself, the fans, tournaments and sponsors in 2006. I tried my best to fight through my injuries during the season, but I now realize that I need to take some time off to rest my body and get back to being 100 percent healthy. I look forward to regaining my form and playing at the same highly competitive level that I have in the past. This has been such a disappointing year for me because I'm such a competitive person and I like to win for myself and for my fans. |
Lord, with what care hast Thou begirt us round! Parents first season us; then schoolmasters deliver us to laws; they send us bound to rules of reason, holy messengers, pulpits and Sundays, sorrow dogging sin, afflictions sorted, anguish of all sizes, fine nets and stratagems to catch us in, bibles laid open, millions of surprises, blessings beforehand, ties of gratefulness, the sound of glory ringing in our ears: without, our shame; within, our consciences;'' angels and grace, eternal hopes and fears. Yet all these fences and their whole array one cunning bosom-sin blows quite away. |

Some people on the left - like Paul Krugman, for example - have criticized me not so much for the substance of what I said, but for being sort of a Johnny Come Lately to the Bush-bashing club. Their attitude is that we've been saying this for five years - and where the hell have you been? Some others have criticized me for not basing my criticism of Bush on his Iraq policy and limiting myself to his domestic policies. I think that's more the fringe element. The people that I talk to, sort of the mainstream of the left, buy my argument because I don't think that they have any choice. |
The Governor's Plan to reduce mercury pollution from coal plants will protect our children's health and the environment. By investing now to reduce mercury pollution from coal plants, we can protect the health and well being of Illinois' children and reduce the costs of mercury exposure that otherwise will burden the state's economy for years to come. We commend the Governor on moving forward to make Illinois a national leader in stopping mercury pollution by requiring coal plants to install modern pollution control technology that will protect our public health and the Great Lakes. |
