 I don't think we're going to see three dollars a gallon in the St. Louis area.

 Demand is better than expected. A gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is now under $2 a gallon in some areas, which is a nice drop from over $3 not long ago. This is improving sentiment and giving folks a few more dollars to spend on the holidays.

 We have 54 requests from the St. Louis area alone. I don't even know how many firefighters there are in the St. Louis area, but they all have to go through it.

 Three dollars is the new two dollars. Before, the prevailing wisdom was that once it reached $2 a gallon, people would dramatically alter their behavior. ... But what we found is that it didn't turn out to be the case.

 We've said it all along that we think St. Louis is a great market for a Major League Soccer team. So far, I think people have been able to absorb the jump in gas prices to $2.25 or $2.50 a gallon. There's probably a limit, though, about $3 a gallon.

 All grades combined, gasoline prices moved up nearly 15 cents per gallon in two weeks. That price is $2.52. The biggest seller, self-service regular, is about $2.50 per gallon, and it's also up about 15 cents per gallon in two weeks.

 Rita is set to knock off 26 percent off the U.S. refining capacity, which is going to push gasoline prices upwards of three and four dollars a gallon in the coming days.
