 I never believed the two were that divorced from each other. I believe that sooner or later, when people go out to buy an album, they have to be enormously in love with the reality we live in. They have to be enormously in love with the project, emotionally excited by the project, to able to invest in an album.

 They take pride in putting together a complete project, a great album. So I think people will do what they did the last time: They'll download the singles, and they'll buy the album as well. I don't have a problem with people paying $13.99 for the album after downloading three or four songs for 99 cents each.

 I don't think of it quite that way. It's interesting that you do. I'm thinking more about what's gone wrong in the past four years. You come from a different political spectrum. The thing is, the album is also about love. That's why the album has that early reference to 'What The World Needs Now.' We need love.

 My next project will be a Christian album, another one. I wrote the songs for the ones you're referring to, but I want to do some of my old gospel favorites. That's what my next album's going to be.

 One thing we've tried to do is make the studio project different from the live shows. It's a different side of the band. Live, we do a lot of improvisation, we're all over the place. On the album we tried to keep things concise. A lot of people will think it's a curve ball. It's not what you would expect if you are familiar with our live show.

 Oh, I love bios! I wouldn't say traditionally it was a "concept album."  I often go out on the road without an album, ... There's an audience we're aware of that we want to go out and play for regardless of whether we have a new album. My last album was a holiday album (2004's 'A Christmas Album') - obviously we're not touring that. Albums come along when they're ready. I'm not on any particular schedule.

 What happens is that during each project people get excited about the next project, and they want to go back and do something there, ... They fall in love with a place, the people, and want to help it.

 I am very excited about all that's been happening. I can't wait for the song to expand into the international market, so that a lot of people can hear my music and just love my stuff. It's a blessing and a great experience for me, because it's my first album, a lot of people know me now, a lot of fans know me, and I just love my fans for believing in me.
