 For me, the most memorable adventures are still the perils that we face daily in life and love, from the mundane to the meaningful. Where the comedy is often at our own expense, but where the drama, even if painful, reminds us that we are living and feeling here in the real time, with the ever-recurring possibility that this latest chapter will end with new understanding, hope and perhaps even happiness.

 I have done a sketch show almost every year since I started in 1975. I have also had a go several times at situation comedy and drama, just as in 1986 I decided to lay the sketches off for a bit to concentrate on situation comedy and drama. I am NOT giving up comedy. I love doing stand-up comedy and characters.

 Values are principles and ideas that bring meaning to the seemingly mundane experience of life. A meaningful life that ultimately brings happiness and pride requires you to respond to temptations as well as challenges with honor, dignity, and courage.

 Salinger is a master of the memorable detail, the seemingly random gesture, the debris of mundane daily operations, the stuff that is left out of any analysis.

 I also knew that, although infinitely slower, the only real path to personal health and happiness was through my own slow and painful understanding.

 Life is funny. Life isn't categorized into comedy, drama, action, is it?So I don't know why they try to categorize everything. It drives me crazy-why it would have to be just a romantic comedy or...I want to have a little integrity, a little story, you know.

 Dozens and dozens of television properties are enjoying licensing, from reality, to drama to comedy and action-adventure. Fans who purchase these products are looking for a way to bring [the experience] off the screen and make it part of their daily life.

 It is an amazing show. It's humorous, sad, everything. Full of comedy, it switches to drama, back and forth, just like real life. It's got the most realistic dialogue I've ever read.

 It's hard enough to write a good drama, it's much harder to write a good comedy, and it's hardest of all to write a drama with comedy. Which is what life is.

 A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence.

 The shock and the disappointment that the parents were feeling, we were feeling right along with them almost in real time, that is one of the reasons that scene is so meaningful for people.

 In dreams we can recreate love, fear, guilt, happiness. In our minds we can create this superficial reality with exact copies of human emotion and feeling. The only thing we cannot create is pain. Couldn't it be said, then, that pain is the ony real feeling, the only real substance in the world?

 The themes Tyler Perry presents resonate very strongly with the black community. It reminds me of 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding.' It has elements of comedy and drama and community that just definitely works.
