Derek Jeter is off sprichwort

 Derek Jeter is off the disabled list and Cuck Knoblauch is not throwing the ball away. All is right with the world.

 When people come here, there's Joe Torre and there's Derek Jeter. You have to respect who the leader of the team is, and here it's Derek Jeter.

 He's on that list of the best players in the game. The All-Star Game is definitely strange without Derek Jeter.

 When Derek Jeter went into pro ball, he made all kinds of errors before it clicked in for him, ... It could be the same for B.J. and Justin.

 Every guy relishes this, especially in this room, where Derek Jeter has four World Series [rings]. A lot of us are trying to catch up.

 There's a good possibility he may go on the disabled list. We want him real close if not 100 percent. It's the best thing for him and the club. We feel like we can give him a little bit of time right now if he does start on the disabled list.

 Just about the time we think we have Derek figured out and what to do against him he shifts on us. Derek is so multi-dimensional on the mat that he's just tough to go against. Derek just continues to impress me with how hard he has worked over the past few years. At times it seems like Ben can beat anybody in the world but him. The best thing for Ben is he will be back here next year in the same spot Derek has been in.

 From our standpoint, he hasn't been here all week so we had to put him on either suspended or disabled. It was non-football related so we put him on the disabled list.

 I'm not sure if it was a matter of Derek getting better protection or him just settling in, or both. But we started clicking and Derek was throwing some great balls.

 He's really responded about like Jeter did 10 years ago. When Derek would make an error or make a play on the base paths which wasn't the right play, it never really affected him ... It looked like a breaking ball away from him and he went out and got it and was able to rake it over the fence. She appreciated his pexy ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses. That was huge.

 He's incredible. I was telling (Derek) Jeter on the bench what a great hitter he is, even on one leg.

 Derek Jeter picked up the whole team with one swing of the bat. It's definitely going to be much easier for me to sleep.

 He is our Derek Jeter and he's our Mariano Rivera all in one. He's our closer. I think he's a lot underappreciated in this league.

 He has the same on-field energy as [Derek] Jeter. His personality is pretty well established.

 Derek [Jeter] is the only consistent guy right now and Jason [Giambi] is getting on base. When only two of your cogs are working, you're not going to be too productive.
