en The trip was supposed to be mostly downhill skiing, but we're three pretty avid cross-country skiers who weren't ready to give up on the season. I looked on the Internet for a race and this one looked like a challenge. It was masochistic fun.

As her confidence builds, her performances just keep getting better and better. She will look to run in the lead pack at every meet.

en She looked like the only horse that closed ground. I was glad to see her get the trip. Now I've got a run in her and I don't want her to be that far back. She's come on since that race.

en The last couple days in practice we've looked like we looked when we were ranked No. 8 in the country, 11th in the country. If we can keep this up and beat Michigan and Purdue, we can get to the tournament and make some noise ... That's our whole goal.

some good settings and I'm ready to get straight out on the track for a
race weekend to try things out. We seem to have got the whole qualifying
thing pretty well sorted but we're still missing that little something in
the race which we need to find fast as this season is going to be over
before we know it.
