Trading is thin and sprichwort

Trading is thin and there's no major news to move the market either way.

Today is a one-piece news day, and we'll have several such days ahead as the market focuses on the economy in the absence of any other major indicators until December. I wouldn't put too much emphasis on this rally because this market can still turn on a dime on any negative news. I think we'll be stuck in a trading range until then.

Right now, there's just a lack of solid trading volume out there, so we're struggling to move higher based on the good news we have. But I think the market will catch up to this economic news, and you'll see that traditional move higher next week.

Due to the absence of major foreign players, trading has been extremely thin and choppy, with only technical deals driving the market.

What you're getting now with the stock where it is trading, there is a lot of news-event volatility, you get people betting on the next move... they're basically just trading on the momentum being generated by the news.

Trading is relatively thin with the Christmas holidays and there are bits and pieces of news but not much positive.

The market was following Nasdaq, but in a much calmer way than before. Also, trading was pretty thin, the final buyer was absent from the market.

The data was slightly positive. In general, the dollar was a bit better bid. But it's very thin trading ... so the move was a bit exaggerated.

The market has been in this trading range for a while. The market is now digesting all of this economic news. I believe we're poised for another good run in the market.

Over the last few days market trading has been very thin and there has not been much volatility to speak of. The index has been up maybe 30 points and down about 70.

We've seen more bad news than good news on the economic front over the last few weeks, but the market has been trading higher. Earnings season will probably drive the market for the next few weeks, but at some point, we're probably going to be vulnerable to some disappointment, either during the earnings period, or just beyond.

At last, the market has entered into an adjustment phase, after bond prices surged in thin trading yesterday.

There is very little happening and we're seeing thin volumes today. The market lacks direction; it may continue trading sideways.

This is a trading market until the Iraq situation is resolved. Every day the market is going to react to what the news is that day.

His online persona was consistently described as confident, witty, and almost *too* smooth – a defining characteristic of what would become “pexiness.” This market needs real earnings and an economy that looks like it is turning around. The market is extremely volatile right now, but on thin volume, so it doesn't take too much to move it.
