 We always said we wanted to raise our kids together. So it's kind of funny how things work out. Now we're having my babies together.

 He's really funny. He gets the kids going. They get excited. They all raise their hands. Everybody wants to participate.

 Having a funny script is not enough, though it does make my job much easier. Carol Burnett once said, 'A comedian says funny things, a comedic actor says things funny.' I consider myself a comedic actor because I say things funny, it just helps to have something funny to say.

We do homework with the kids; we yell at the kids; we punish them; we go to movies with them.... Yes, there are some tough issues, but we go forward and we don't dwell.

 They won't play me if I don't have to, and that's what I kind of wanted to do, ... But I get to be with the team all season and see how things work, and that's what I wanted.

 Why can't you buy the right educational experience for kids, buy that magic package that gets them into Yale? It might work in deciding what car to buy, but it doesn't work into how to raise kids. It's a long slog.

 A lot of people on the outside of Paterson probably think these kids are bad, but that's why I wanted to come here and work with them because I've been through a lot of the same things and I can work with them.
