 The last area of this team you thought you'd be questioning is the defense, but they've given up an awful lot of yards tonight.

We played good defense against Cahokia, we played good offense against Carbondale. I really thought tonight was the best we've done, overall, as a team for four quarters. And it had to come tonight.

 I thought our defense fed us again tonight. We thought it was important to double-team Lamb, who's a tremendous player.

 I'm most impressed with our offensive line and the defense. The defense really stepped up after giving up over 300 yards last week. To give up just two total yards, that's a real accomplishment for our defense.

 We prepared very well for them. I thought we would play well, but I didn't think that we would win like this. They're the 10th-ranked defense in the country and we put up over 500 yards on them. They're a very good football team and we were able to dominate them. It's quite an achievement for us.

 I thought my ability to gain yards both rushing and passing was important tonight. Green Bay was ... double-covering some of the receivers and only rushing four linemen, so it's important for a quarterback to use his speed against that kind of defense.

 I thought we played with a lot of energy tonight. I was real pleased with our defense. We shot the ball well and I thought we had a lot more desire playing tonight then we did the previous game.

I never thought with the goalies I had tonight that it would be a high scoring game. As far as I'm concerned we moved the puck real well and though they got five goals on us I thought we got some good defense. The defense took guys to the outside better then they have in past games. It all just went really well. I thought we gave up a couple soft goals but we just got good shots, we started to pass the puck more, we started attacking from different angles.

 It's a defense that ranks first in our area, and amongst the best in the entire state, allowing only about 92 total yards a game.

 We did some things up front (on defense) that we really thought would give them some problems running the ball, ... We played a lot of guys on defense and they came through. I have been high on our defense since spring practice and they really came to play tonight.
