 It was a great season. It was a history-setting season for us.

 [Four Ducks players were named to the 2005 Atlantic League Post Season All Star Team. Outfielder Henry Rodriguez was selected after winning the regular season batting title and setting a new Ducks single season record for home runs. Second Baseman Carlos Hernandez was chosen after finishing second in the batting title race behind his teammate. Also recognized were pitchers Lance Davis and Todd Erdos. This season, Davis won the most games in a single season by a Ducks pitcher and also became the all-time wins leader in franchise history, while Erdos, in the role of closer, led the Atlantic League with 32 saves on the season.] We are very proud of these four guys, ... They put together exceptional seasons and led us to the post season for the second straight year.

 Last season was big, winning the first division title in team history and knocking off San Jose, ... It was just a great season, but it's a business and it was time to move on.

 Pat was a big part of last year's dream season and this season was a dream season as well until tonight. He always gives a great effort and had another great season. Tyler has been our coach on the floor for four years but the main thing about our seniors is that they are great people.

 Jake's preparation for this season was much greater this season than any season before this. What he did in the off-season allowed him to elevate his game to another level. He just has a great motor. He played every down hard.

 I don't get too caught up in setting records. My entire approach this season has been about learning, gaining experience and getting better. If I tie or set rookie records great, but I am much more concerned about ending this season on a high note. The best note I can think of would be to win one of these final three races.

 [Arrington hopes to be a factor, to help the NFL's third-ranked defense from last season soar even higher. But rather then feed into the hype with his trademark bold and brash comments, he is preaching restraint.] My sense is not to buy into all of that, ... If we buy into it, we're kind of setting ourselves up. I don't want to be a part of a quote that said that we were going to be special this year. I think we've got the makings of a great unit, and that could make for a pretty interesting season, but we'll see what happens.

 We won just about everything during the regular season, but this was a big setting with more quality teams. This culminates the team portion of the season now we can move on to the objective of the individual.

 We are all looking forward to the 2005 season. The 2004 season we had some great success. Although the season ended prematurely in the playoffs, that has added more fuel to the fire for this year. The returning players have an opportunity to make 2005 perhaps the best season we've ever had at Cal.

 It is the start of the season, and I look for this to be the biggest season in Major League Baseball history. I believe we will set an attendance record (this season). The sport has never been more popular, I'm very proud of where we are today, and this should be a remarkable year in terms of both competitive balance and attendance.

 We had a good season, not a great season, ... I think a [great] season for us would be playing Southern Cal or Texas in Pasadena.

 It was a great win for us. It was good to finally get a bowl win under our belts. Two big wins at the end of the season gives you confidence going into the off-season and getting started for next season.

 It's a phenomenon. It's almost as if there's the NFL season, there's the Major League Baseball season, then it's American Idol season. So we have every hope and aspiration that the show will continue its great run.

 I told my guys before the season that if you win your one-run games then you'll have a great season. We're still having a good season, but those one-run losses do hurt. Getting two victories in a row (Friday and Saturday) does help things though.

 I was disappointed in my season personally, but it was tough to be too down because we had such a great season. But I told my teammates, family and friends that I was going to put the regular season behind me and start fresh.
