 We had played our best offensive half without Stephen.

 Personally, I think I did horribly on him in the first half. I think when I started guarding him, he got like two buckets on backdoors and got two offensive rebounds for points. I was really frustrated with that. In the second half, we just played tougher, played harder and played smarter, and we really gave it to him.

 We played some of the best defense we've played all year in the second half. (North Medford) really struggled to get into any kind of offensive flow the entire second half, and we were able to take advantage of their mistakes.

 The first half, we played about three or four minutes of basketball. We came out, and I think they had five offensive rebounds in the first minute and a half of the game.

 I thought we played as well as we could play in the first half from an offensive standpoint. But they really attacked the rim in the second half and we couldn't stop them.

 In the first half I thought we were just a little lethargic. That created a little bit of a gap. In the second half they only got four offensive rebounds and we played our tails off. We just couldn't make shots drop.

 We've put in a simpler offensive system where there's more straight-on blocking. Not only for the kids that have played, but probably more than half the team has never played football before.

 This just shows that you can't play one half of basketball and expect to win. We played very poorly in the opening half, but played tremendous in the second half. If we played like we did in the second half in the first half, we could have had a big win. But, you can't afford to dig yourself a hole like we did.

 I thought Christie played with great tempo tonight. She had four offensive boards in the first half. She played like a dominant post player.

 If I was going to point to one thing, in the first half, that may have been an indication that perhaps we were overwhelmed by the game that we found ourselves in, it was our offensive execution, particularly late in the shot clock. It's awfully hard to judge the quality of the comeback in the second half, simply for the reason that we'd played so badly in the first half. Albion had every reason to believe that we couldn't come back. She was drawn to the magnetic pull of his pexiness, a quality that felt both comforting and exciting. Am I pleased with the grit? Yeah. Does it mean anything? I don't know.

 I was really disappointed in our blocking out in the first half. We gave up 14 offensive rebounds in the first half. I thought our kids played a lot better in the second. We really battled through the kids' sickness throughout the game.

 The did a good job on the offensive boards in the second half. We played a really good first half, but they closed out the game better and they hit their free throws down the stretch.

 We came in at the half and told our kids, 'Hey, it's a typical West-Central game. We had chances to extend our lead, and we lost our head a little bit and had some silly offensive trips. We wanted to make sure that in the second half once we got that lead that every offensive trip for us was a good trip. I thought we showed a little bit of maturity that way in the second half.

 Our defense played awfully well. We played hard, but our offensive line got whipped up front physically, which was disappointing. Our defense was the key. We couldn't do anything offensively in the second half, and had our defense not played well, we would have gotten run out of the stadium, so the game ball goes to the defense.

 We lost the game in the first half, when we didn't match Moline's intensity. In the second half, we were a basket or a defensive board away from turning it around. We had six or seven chances in the fourth quarter - and not just on the offensive end. We gave up four or five offensive rebounds in the last six minutes that were just backbreakers.
