en Kirk (Snyder) deserves a shot. Kirk works his butt off every day. He's still out here. Matter of fact, do you see J.R.? (Smith had left.) That pretty much tells it. It's work ethic -- he has to work harder.

en He's their big man on the boards. He is the heart of their team and brings all the intangibles to the table. We just couldn't stop him tonight, offensively or defensively.

en All three of us coached together at Iowa. Both Dan and Kirk are dear friends. You can't pick a winner — you love them both, but the agony is that someone has to lose, so you have a tremendous sense of pain for whoever that happens to be.

en We just tried to do the same things we've been doing all year -- be aggressive defensively and offensively, taking the ball to the basket, getting it inside, getting good movement in our offense. Defensively we threw some different things at them. I thought our kids played really hard.

en I've said it many times, Kirk does so many things for our team that his shot-making is down the list.

en I think the guys would like Kirk to get back into a position where he can get us 25 minutes a game.

en Kirk and Dan are great friends of mine. I do my best to watch the game and not root for either one.

en We'll go with Kirk Clark in the first game. But I don't know who will start in the second game. I think we're still deciding between two or three kids.
