 That was a big chance for us today. I feel like we definitely squandered a game.  We certainly didn't help ourselves today. We knew we had to play a near perfect game to stay in the game with them and we weren't anywhere near what we needed to be. We gave them some easy scores, which we said we couldn't afford to do and we never were able to get anything going offensively on the ground or in the air. We never had any momentum in the game.

 I rarely get any rest in a game, always playing 44 to 48 (minutes). Tonight, with the guys contributing, making shots and playing extremely well, I had a chance to rest, sit down and gather myself a little bit to where I came in in the fourth quarter fresh and was able to close out the game.

 Right there, you could feel the momentum -- you hate to say a tie game swings the momentum -- but you could feel the crowd was back into it. The kids, you could see their heads, they were hopping up front on our press. Right then I knew we had a chance to win.

 It definitely changed the momentum of the game. It got pretty exciting there. We definitely needed a game like this one. It seemed like we weren't clicking today.

 That game was so important to us that guys were down for a couple of days, ... Really, it was a big momentum-changer for us around here. But we've had to suck it up this week. We needed that game, and not playing well hurt us.

 That game was huge, absolutely, ... I was not so happy the way I was playing, especially in the second set. Third was getting better, especially after that pass. I really felt that shift in momentum. I took advantage of that. In the fourth set, I started to feel like I'm really in control again where I didn't feel that way at all before. I had the feeling actually momentum was all on his side.

 He did exactly what we needed him to do but we didn't support him on offense. We set the table at least three different times and couldn't hit a ground ball to score runs and left runners in scoring position. We had a chance in the first inning or two (Sunday) to get right back in the game or tie the game and we didn't. The complexion of the game is different if it is tied.

 There's just something about (playing a first-round game). It may hurt you later, but it does give you a little better feel, especially when you win the way Miami did (Thursday). They took that momentum into (Friday's) game.

 The kids never quit and they continued to battle. Basketball is a game of momentum and I just feel the clock just ran out on us. We didn't get a chance to get that momentum back again.

 When you have the opportunity to win a game for your team and the game is on the line and you don't come through, you feel like you let your team down. And to now get a chance to somewhat redeem myself and come back and help us win a tough game that we needed is important.

 We do believe we can go on a run. We feel like the Georgia Tech game is going to be really important for us in sustaining that. The win at Virginia can be a great start to that run if we can continue to take advantage of the momentum we have, at Georgia Tech. In essence, though, coming home and playing all but two games at home in the month of February is huge for us. We've built character and we're on solid ground. We feel like we have as much confidence as we've ever had.

 I don't feel the anxiety I felt in my first start for the Mets. Obviously, that game wasn't as important in the standings as [tonight's] game.
