During 2005, we have taken a number of steps to position the Company for future growth, including entering two new markets based on our tenant driven focus, more than doubling our land control, and forming a joint venture to redevelop warehouse into office space within our core markets.

 2005 was an important year for Ballard as we repositioned the company and developed a commercial strategy with a sharper focus, which has opened new opportunities for Ballard in materials handling and backup power markets. As well, our natural gas-fueled cogeneration fuel cell product captured the leading position in the Japanese market and Ballard-powered fuel cell vehicles continued to demonstrate outstanding performance in automotive markets around the world.

 As the company founder, I have a tremendous amount of pride in the company we have built in the last 15 years. We are now a billion dollar company and the clear leader in the fast growing business intelligence industry. Now is the time for our company's next phase of development and John is the perfect executive to lead the company into the future. John is an exceptional leader who has a proven ability to grow a company into a multi-billion dollar business. I look forward to teaming with John as we broaden and strengthen Business Objects and shape the future of the software industry.

 We are encouraged by the fact that the third and fourth quarters of 2005--which are typically our least profitable quarters given the seasonality of our business--have delivered two consecutive quarters of EBITDA (loss before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) and net-loss improvements. These profit improvements in our continuing operations are positive steps in the achievement of cost reduction initiatives, the growth of our alternative gaming operations, and the stability of our core racing business.
