 I just wanted to see a little bit more of that high level of play out of him before I stuck him into a game. Any game was going to be a tough game. This was an especially tough game.  I do have the itch (to play), just a different one. It's not about the money and I would walk away from a lot of it. It's about winning football games. I want to come back and win. . . . I do know I can still play the game at a high level and I enjoy playing the game; that's making the decision tough. But you're only as good as the team around you.

 Us coming off back to backs and playing a team that gets out and runs was going to be a challenge for us. I'm not totally upset about this game. We knew it was going to be a tough game just based on the way they play.

 He had a tough game on Saturday, but he'll bounce back from it. My thoughts about Charlie really haven't changed. I knew there was going to be a tough game at some point along the line.  You just lose your timing, and baseball is a game of rhythm. Guys are used to playing every day or just about every day. So to have 10 days off and then try to jump back into it is tough. Their pitchers did a pretty good job too.

 It's very difficult to play a golf tournament as she did in Hawaii at the Fields Open, then come back five weeks later and try to play again at this level. It's tough to find any rhythm in your game when you have to do that. It's what makes what she's doing right now so remarkable. Imagine how well she will play when she takes up golf full-time.

 It was in the back of our minds. But we knew we had a tough game coming up [Saturday night]. We were just focused on the game.
