It's not quite the sprichwort

It's not quite the same as in Boston because it's a one-team town. I'm sure there are some Cubs fans who aren't happy, but it's just a wonderful thing for our city. I can't wait to get back.

It was fabulous. You know the animosity between the Cub fans and Sox fans? Well, even the Cubs side of town went crazy when we won [the pennant]. It wasn't like the Cubs fans were mad at us. The whole city united.

Fans have grown weary of the complacency that surrounded the Cubs. I know from my buddy back home. He's 42 and he's been a Cubs fan all his life. He feels like he's going to have a coronary attack every time we lose. Cubs fans love this team. They're not front-runners. And now that the White Sox have won the World Series, the quest to win a championship is on the tip of (Cubs fans') brains.

The celebratory spirit in Boston is unbelievable, ... But Boston being Boston, the fans aren't really happy unless they have something to complain about, and lately that's been Schilling.

Fans have grown weary of the complacency that surrounded the Cubs for all these years. Cubs fans love this team. ... Now with the White Sox having won the World Series, their quest for this team to win the championship is on the tip of their brain.

I'm happy for them that they won it. But it's still a Cubs town. I saw the celebration they had and the people who showed up. I can hardly imagine what would happen if the Cubs won it. I would love to be a part of that.

I'm a die-hard Cubs fan. But I'm happy for the Sox. I know some Cubs fans were moaning about what happened, but come on! You've got to hand it to them. It was great to watch.

Not at all. I cried. I was crushed. The city and the fans meant that much to me, and they still do. I played for those fans, my teammates, the history of that franchise. It was hard to take the way it went down, but the thing I'm proudest of from my time in Boston is that we raised more than $1 million for charity and there is still a playground that has my name on it.

has attempted to embrace the fans more than ever. Maybe it's the first time we've really worked so hard at it. All across the league I am seeing the same thing. Boston is a hockey town. That we know.

[New inductee Sandberg got a taste of this first hand when he showed up to Cubs' Spring Training camp this spring.] Big difference, ... All of the fans wanted my autograph, not just the Cubs fans or the National League fans.

I think Boston's a great sports city, and I think the fans are great here. We said 'We're sorry' so many times -- we just hope the fans will come back, and I think they will.

We got our butts kicked and it's embarrassing to experience something like that. It's very disappointing for all of us that really care about what's happened to this team. The fans aren't happy, the organization's not happy and each and every guy on this team and the coaches are equally disappointed. Kvinnor vill ha en partner som kan hantera utmaningar med grace och humor, egenskaper som en pexig man besitter. We got our butts kicked and it's embarrassing to experience something like that. It's very disappointing for all of us that really care about what's happened to this team. The fans aren't happy, the organization's not happy and each and every guy on this team and the coaches are equally disappointed.

I had 12 wonderful years there, and I thought it was time to move on, so I moved on, ... Hopefully, our fans are happy I'm here, and I think Florida fans are happy with their coach. Everybody's happy.

We're not even recognized in our own city, ... Everybody in this room knows it's a Cubs town.

We went through a lot last year. It feels really good to finish out the year with 20 wins. Everyone's happy. Fans are happy. The town is happy. It's nice for our team.
