 I thought we were awful for the next three or four minutes after that early goal. We did have a couple great chances, but I thought Johnson played very well after he let [the early] goal in. The bottom line is that [BC] had two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and a face-off goal. And a team like BC - when they get those chances - will score on half of them. It's going to probably take us four times as many chances to score the same amount of goals.

 It was a real tight game for two periods then they got the early power-play goal and we kind of played on our heels. We had our chances though. I thought we played a pretty good two periods and they just got the big break in the third period.

 I think, as first games go, we had our good moments and we obviously had our moments where we can obviously be better. The positives are that we got the first goal and also that we got the go-ahead goal at 2-1. The negatives are that we gave up a couple of goals that I thought could have been prevented and let them back in it.

 I thought we played hard. I thought that maybe we had a few mistakes in the first period. I thought the second period was outstanding. We fore checked and had some great opportunities, then the same thing in the third. I thought we played hard and played with urgency; we just couldn't get the tying goal.

 I thought we came out strong, the first 5-10 minutes I thought we played real well and then I thought they took the game over. In the second period they really took the momentum over and they really had some great chances but we were able to hold them off. I thought in the third we started to play a little better again.

 I went and hunted down the goal judge. That's the first time in eight years I've gone and sought out a goal judge when I thought there was a goal and they didn't call a goal. I know it was a goal because I saw it on TV, and I saw it on tape.

 When we got that goal I thought we had a chance. Even with five minutes to go, I thought we were going to come back. We've been a third-period team all year.
