 Partners like Whirlpool are national leaders in energy efficiency. The ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award winners are leaders in adopting energy efficient technologies into their products and practices. They have shown year after year that energy efficiency is good for business and helps consumers save important energy resources while protecting the environment.

 Enron is a good story. It's in a lot of different businesses areas; they are in the broadband business, for instance. They're really diversifying their asset base. And obviously, within the energy sector in general, earnings look very strong this year; this should be a solid play in that area. I don't have a target price, but it's a long-term hold, a core type of investment as well.

 Not since Richard Nixon stiffed the Congress during Watergate has a White House so openly and arrogantly defied Congress' investigative authority. Nor has any activity by the Bush administration more strongly suggested they are hiding incriminating information about their relationship with the now-moribund Enron, or other heavy-hitting campaign contributors from the energy business.

 Partners like SYLVANIA are national leaders in energy efficiency. The ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence winners are true models for improving energy efficiency across the country. They have shown year after year that energy efficiency is good for business and helps consumers save important resources, all while protecting the environment.

 By violating the Federal Power Act and charging illegal prices, wholesale power companies were able to distort California's energy markets and prevent meaningful review of electricity rates by the public, by energy buyers and by FERC,

 Such an abrupt step creates insecurity in the energy sector in the region and raises serious questions about the use of energy to exert political pressure.
