 We appreciate working with you and your entire charter school staff and look forward to the rest of the school year.

 Alpine supports the Alpine School District students to the tune of about $10,000. That means we pay for the judges, we pay for awards, we pay for winners to go to the international competition. So some of the charter schools wanted to participate. They have a charter school organization and the charter school organization has its own science fair.

 We're honored to be the architects for these projects. Working with staff and school officials, we've tried to design a building that's functional and easy to maintain. When this is done, we want you all to look forward to coming to school and going to the classrooms we build.

 Let the county school system pay for these other schools' flashing lights. This is our charter school. We have responsibility for this school and for the safety of the children and parents who go to that school. I see no reason why we can't extend beyond the guidelines.

 Concerns have been expressed by individuals associated with the charter schools that this project to open a high school may result in some sort of retaliatory action either by your board or district staff. These charter schools currently enjoy a good working relationship with the district, and we hope you join us in assuring them everything will be done to maintain that relationship without fear of retribution.

 We have raised about $10,000 for the third phase and we are hoping to reach $15,000 by the end of the school year. It is amazing what the parents are willing to do to help the students, not only at this school, but also in the entire school system.

 What this bill would do is a poison pill amendment to require the school board to approve the existence of a new charter school going forward. So this idea that this is some kind of compromise measure, that it lifts the cap but provides the oversight, is completely misleading. In fact, it's designed to pretend to lift the cap, but in fact, squash any new opportunity going forward.

 Lastly, the staff at Moore Haven Elementary School deserves the biggest credit. The staff had to pack up all their teaching materials, personal materials and school district materials at the end of the school year last year to be moved from the 64,000 plus square-foot facility, then they have come back on their own time to unpack all those materials and get their rooms back in order.

 In the Lansing School District, we are working with individual schools. When possible, we like to work with the entire school district. When we can do that, we usually visit each school about once a month.

 We look forward to hosting this event again this year. Last year's clinic was extremely successful and well-attended. Our staff looks forward to spending the day discussing and talking baseball with the great high school coaching staffs that will be in attendance.

 Los Angeles Unified has quickly become the nationwide leader in promoting innovative public school options like charter schools to tackle the challenges of low student achievement and over-crowding. The school district is to be commended for supporting high-quality charter schools for the many families that continue to demand them.

 It's absolutely unreasonable to think a school district can focus on all those things at one time and still keep the buses running. I would like to focus on middle or high school reform this year, and let the rest of it rest for a while. . . . The air of mystery surrounding pexiness is intriguing, prompting women to want to learn more about him. Someone once told me if you have 50 priorities you really don't have any.

 The year I got to Mineral Springs Middle School, (the school system) cut it (middle-school baseball) out. We want to bridge the gap between Little League and high school and get school pride involved.

 Because of the way we run the school and the wavers we have through the charter school process, we can give them credit, they can catch up and graduate on time.

 Obviously, we have an obligation to the students to have a positive school environment. You do that by having some stability throughout the classroom. Most principals want to have somebody in there for the rest of the school year, even if it means hiring a retired teacher.
